The confines of her personal quarters were one of the very few places she could be alone. With the exception of Leela visiting she hardly allowed anyone in, asides from K9 that is. In one of those few moments where no dilemmas or catastrophes in the works of occurring the Lady President was taking a few hours to rest.

Although at the moment she seemed to have dozed off in a comfortable reading chair (one that she had received from Chronotis when she gone to visit him on a particular matter), book on her lap and dressed in comfortable night clothes. It was rare for a Time Lord in any of the higher positions to get rest when time seemed to favor the notion of something always happening at all times. But for once Romana managed to.

Or she had, until a bothersome voice had decided to awaken her from a dreamless slumber.

Romana had just barely caught her book in time before it greeted the ground with a thump. Holding it to her chest and rubbing her eyes, she stifled the sudden urge to yawn.

"Oh what is it this time?"

Sitting just out of the beam of light---rather, for all he could tell, she was just off of the rock he stood, came Romana's voice. He could only see darkness, and in a way that frightened him. He didn't know where she was, or what was going on. He could only hear her.

"It's me," he said. "Well, yes, of course it's me. That much is obvious but..."

How would he begin?

"I need to talk to you. It's important. He looked at the empty space around him and glanced down at his sonic. Shields holding, for the moment.

"I haven't got a lot of time."

Easing herself up from the chair, the book was set down upon the seat cushion while her free hand pulled the blue robe she wore together, her gaze shifting around. The Doctor's--at least one of them--voice could be heard but the Time Lord himself was no where to be seen. Her expression became puzzled at this.

"Doctor? Doctor, where are you?" Then, after a beat. "Have you any idea as to what time it is?"

"Not a clue," the Doctor said. "And I'm not sure. The floor is..."

He looked down. The ground was cracked, but there was a small amount of tile across it, spattered with how badly it'd been shattered from the destruction of the planet.

"Blue. And I can't come to whereever you are. Things are different in my universe."
