Thinking out loud.
I've been re-reading GURPS: Infinite Worlds for the past couple of days. For one thing, I'm stuck at home and I ran out of novels (a shipment is on it's way, but if someone has something good they can loan me that will also be lovely). This is actually not what I had in mind. Originally I had in mind something rooted firmly in "our" world (or something close enough for character work) which would then proceed to explore the magical.
Now that I think about it though, maybe I am better off changing the whole starting point.
