This is purely rhetorical, since it's something I'd never really put any thought into before and it doesn't really matter anyway. Just a point of curiosity, I suppose. And yes, it may have been inspired by a recent post on sonicstuff. :p

I'm a bit the same way. Personally I can't STAND SonAmy, but I won't go seeking out fics just to spam them with hate like some idiots do with yaoi fanfics.

I don't mind Amy as a character, though she does sometimes get on my nerves, but sometimes I think she takes fangirling a bit too far, sort of like the Sasuke fangirls on Naruto. I'm surprised she didn't jump up and didn't outrightly kill Elise for kissing Sonic in STH06.

I mean, come on, mistaking both SHADOW and SILVER for Sonic when there's obviously SEVERAL DIFFERENCES separating their appearances? She must glomp with her eyes closed. I'm surprised both of them aren't traumatized.

Ehhh, I don't want this to turn into Amy-bashing, though. That's not what it's about. I like Amy. There's just something about Sonic/Amy that pisses me off that I don't understand, and it gives me a similar feeling to "that pairing that I can't stand" in every fandom I've ever had. I'm just trying to figure out if there are qualitative similarities that span across all fandoms for me that might then serve as identifiers for "that pairing" in other fictitious works.

Yeah, I have characters or pairings I irrationally hate, no matter how well written they are. It's normal, dood. And I seem to mostly ship SonAmy if I'm writing it. Mostly with Clandon. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.

...And I can't think of anything intelligent to respond to this with, loloops.

I believe I irrationally dislike sonamy. Why? It's probably because of Amy Rose. . . definetly. And the fans. Ugh..
