Title: Alfred the Noble

Character(s)/Pairing(s): America and England; USUK

Warnings: Lots of history, and referencing some medieval torture.

Summary: America has always assumed he was named for Alfred the Great. England tells him otherwise.

is it wrong that the fact both 'Alfreds' are related to each other amuse me?

Alfred the Noble isn't very well-known, so I didn't even know he existed until I had a class about him and his brother. And yes, something to that effect. It's not written on any sources I can find but my prof claims that's what happened... so I just go with what he says XD

Are they really? Ballin.

I figure America would pay attention to anything that's semi about him, he's such an attention whore XD And I strive to educate people about Alfred the Noble, he's my favorite ♥

I never heard about this Alfred before but I like this version way better then Alfred the Great.

When I first learned about Alfred the Noble, I was just so touched. He and his brother just went through so, so much and it was so sad. I'm glad you think I did a good job, and I hope you enjoyed learning about him :) He and his brother and their father were such interesting people.
