Do not stand at my grave and weep by black.k.kat
Fandom: Torchwood
Rating: M (Mature)
Even though I adore Torchwood, I've never really gotten into the habit of reading many fics in the Torchwood fandom, not because they're bad or anything, but simply because I tend to gravitate more towards Doctor-centric or Rose or Amy & Rory fics. --laughs--
This one is pure Torchwood though, and one of my absolute favourites. It's got such a whimsical air about it that I can't help but love, and it combines fairies with Ianto being brought back after being killed by the 456, and since Ianto is my favourite Torchwood character, well, you can see why I started reading it in the first place, right?
I've always held a fondness for stories that take a sudden left turn from the norm, and this one is no different. The fairies are furious at the 456. They love their chosen children, and their children were threatened, so, they decide to even the playing field.
I love the way the fairies and Ianto interact, and the way Ianto sees how much the children, stolen from their world, actually belong with the fairies, and how they're not evil, simply beyond the bounds and rules of human morality.

black.k.kat Fandom: Torchwood
Status: Complete
Word Count: 19,774
Summary: The 456 made a mistake when they threatened Earth's children - there was
another force out there, older and far more powerful, that wanted those children protected.
Ianto Jones awakens in the fairy world, charged with one task: safeguarding the Chosen Ones.
But returning from the dead is never easy.
I love the way the fairies communicate. There's nothing quite like reading a story where half the conversation is pure poetry.
