Exclusion by Maethoriel Raina
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: M (Mature)
This story showcases another way the Tri-Wizard Tournament could have gone, if Ron had been a bit meaner, and Harry, Hermione, Neville, and the twins had been a bit smarter. --laughs-- There's a bit of Ron-bashing in this story, but sometimes, especially after the first time I read 'Deathly Hallows' I need some good Ron-bashing to make me feel better.
Mostly, this story is about Harry, Hermione, Neville, Fred and George turning Hogwarts upside down after being banished from Gryffindor. Instead of meekly falling apart, these clever kids decide to buck tradition. They're not ashamed about being thrown out of Gryffindor for something Harry is innocent of, and by heck, you can bet they're going to rock the boat, the ocean and everything else!

Summary: During his fourth year, Gryffindor house is not as accepting of Harry’s
participation in the TriWizard Tournament, and use an old tradition called exclusion
to force him into complaisance. Harry finds out who his true friends are and uses cunning
to get his own brand of revenge.
One of the reasons I love this story is because it's very, very cleverly written.
