Because this story is from Bumblebee's point of view, we can see how clearly skewed he is when it comes to things which are as natural to Cybertronians as breathing is to humans. It's one of the reasons why this fic is so funny. As the reader, we can see the obvious conclusion, however, due to Bumblebee's alien nature, he remains oblivious.

I really, really love this fic. It's made me giggle many a time, and the first time I read it I almost coughed up my coffee. No matter how many times I read it, it never loses its impact.
