This is a very different take on the usual kind of Junjōu Romantica fanfic, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much I liked it. I adore Usagi/Misaki, they're my favourite canon pairing in Junjōu Romantica, although I am very, very fond of Usagi-Ani/Misaki fics too. Yeah, I'm greedy. --laughs--
I love this story because even though it's so wildly different from canon, with Misaki being a girl in this story and not a boy, her character hasn't actually changed, and she's written so well that it's like stepping into a mirror world.
There are a handful of Junjōu Romantica fics that I'm very fond of, but for some reason I just repeatedly get drawn back to this story to read and re-read and re-read it.

Summary: Had Misaki been a boy, Usagi was sure he would've fallen in love
with her. However, love is not all about physicality; love looks past the surface
and sees the person within. Fate has a different plan for Misaki Takahashi.
Misaki's relationship with Usagi in this story is wonderful. Even though they are not lovers (since Usagi is still gay) the closeness that I love from canon is still represented.
