Work at the daycare summer camp is going pretty well so far. Two weeks down and I'm still enjoying it. The kids are pretty cool, and my co-wokers are fun. 5 minutes of softball practice = Sitting in the Emergency Room for 2 hours. Verdict: I've torn my left Quad. So I'm currently on crutches, pain killers, and I have to do physio. The doctor said I should expect it to take 6 to 8 weeks to heal

I have joined up with the Medieval Studies intramurual softball team for the summer. Regis College doesn't have a team, so I'll be playing on the Papal Bulls team instead from the Centre. I am greatly looking forward to meeting some other students, especially other medievalists. There's been two practices so far but I've unfortunately missed them

I am pleased to report that the MudRun was a success and that all three of us lived to tell the tale... and what a tale it is! It was pouring rain all morning before the race so it was pretty cold and nasty outside. Thankfully the rain stopped before the actual race, but it was not the beautiful day we were hoping for. Sometimes I still hate this city. I am still unemployed (until at least June 25th) and I'm not having any luck trying to find anything. I've hit up three malls in person to drop off resumes, a bunch of random restaurants and I check four job sites online everyday. I've been doing this now for 3 months. 3 MONTHS!! So far this year Kalamazoo has been pretty great. My one big complaint however is that the WaxCraft people are no longer here. I sent off an e-mail to inquire about the status of things, and apparently the business is in the process of being dissolved, which means no more Kalamazoo trips for them.
