Many a curious or admiring stare was cast in Fleur’s direction as she made her way through the winding streets of a little village outside of Nice, France. She remembered having been here as a child, when her mother took her and Gabrielle on an outing one day, as she often did.

Mon dieu!

Poor Fleur, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This was really well written and puts her in a very interesting light.

Hopefully, there will (eventually) be a happy ending here.

Ooh, I like it :) That's morbid of me, isn't it? I'm sure you get what I mean.

Tracey may be interested to know what happened in Nice at some stage. Her parents were killed there in the attack whilst visiting her mother's relatives and Tracey feels very guilty about their deaths.

(Gabrielle was indeed in Nice, attempting to protect Tracey Davis' parents at the time of the attack, and she was unaware of Fleur's presance. This is a nice piece of backstory, clarifies some things I thought about the Declacours but never quite put into words. ^_^.)
