As per the chat meet-n-greet and the new war information, this is how/where I see Cedric fitting into specifics. Mods, if any of this needs to be tweaked, please just let me know.

An Owl to Ollivander would have provided witches and wizards with replacement wands. This would be shortly after the war. During the War, Ollivander was in hiding for various reasons.

If the owls could find Sirius while he was hiding, they could find Ollivander, I'm sure. He wasn't too far away for most of the time - especially after the war was over and he could come out of hiding.

Ollivander would also be interested in finding out about your North American birds and magical creatures. He's looking for another stable core to use, and he would like to use feathers, fur, claws, antlers, and other renewable fauna bits that are shed without injuring or killing the creature.
