I have heard...and it's so sad. I'd known her casually for years, loved her writing, and we were friendly (we'd just DM'd each other on twitter to exchange alternate ways of keeping in touch "just in case" a few weeks before she passed), but I am so very sorry for your loss and the loss of her other close friends. :(
