I totally agree with you on everything you've said. I'm also probably biased for being a WL fan, but I find the show a lot more fun when Drew and Jeff take the time to banter or when Jeff comes on stage and does something goofy. I really thought he'd be the worst, since, especially in the beginning, his voice has a bit of a sarcastic ring to it, but that's gone down, and I'm just really enjoying him as an announcer

It is a lot more fun with the Drew and Jeff back and forth's. Drew seems more relaxed with a friend there. God knows how many times I've read that Drew helped get his friends on there, whether that's true or not I think it's better it helps with the chemistry. I thought Jeff would be the worst, everyone made him out to be the one that would be the worst, he's been the best and I hope it turns into a permanent job now too as well. he is different from the other announcers who just sit there and announce of course. It's nice to see him get involved like he does. I see it as good fun others see it as camera hogging *Rolls eyes* some people are never pleased

re: the camera hogging---I've been watching LMaD as well, and Jon does the same thing, going on set and playing around, so perhaps that's why I don't have a problem with it. But I find that especially if you're watching LMaD first, TPiR seems so toned down in comparison (Wayne and Jon do improv skits, break into song, play and banter, have bike races, etc.), and when Jeff is on, it ups the playful factor and makes it a lot more fun for me to watch.
Brad I find so, so phony. In the first half of his first episode, he was far, far too calm, but now that he's picked it up, it just seems fake.
And Drew I just love. ^_^ I've heard all about how he does things for his friends, and I think it's wonderful. I am just so fond of him as a person. He's got that wonderful, sweet side, and he can be really down to earth, but he's also callous and rude and, well, a man for lack of a better word, and I like that because he's just so real. Yeah I've been watching LMaD for awhile too so seeing Jeff go out there and fool around a bit is not that bad, in the past few episodes he's stayed just behind the podium so i really don't see this as camera hogging just grown men having fun. It is a lot more enjoyable to watch, so I really don't know where these people are coming from and why they have such a BIG problem with it

Well, having read the dialogue between you and Clay I don't have much to add but to nod my head in agreement :) I do think Jeff is by far the best of the three, which surprised me a little... I had sort of imagined Brad being good at this, but like Clay, his voice just grates on me. Jeff took a couple of shows to hit his stride (and he said as much himself on his Twitter, and I agree) but now I think he's awesome in this role.
I also watched TPIR as a kid, so watching it these past weeks (I really hadn't seen it much in recent years) has been a big nostalgia trip for me. When Jeff was posting about it on his Twitter I got the impression that he was a longtime fan too - he seemed so adorably excited to have the opportunity.
I think a lot of people thought Brad would be the best, which is why it surprises everyone that he actually isn't. I still think he'll get better, well I hope so. Jeff is awesome so I really hope that he's allowed to come back and do more announcing, he's definitely doing a fantastic job.
