I loved the mystery! Should have known Fargo had something to do with it. *g* I really liked all the mad science details, just like on the show. The ending was lovely, so poignant. Enjoyed this so much!
Here I am with a late reply again, but thank you so much! I really had a good time writing this one, and I never would have come up with it if not for your challenge. :)
She turned away, heading towards the bathroom to wash the makeup off of her face and to take care of her other nightly rituals. Nightly rituals that no longer included sobbing while she clutched one of his old shirts to her chest. She really was getting better. She had Kevin, she had her work, and she had good people who looked out for her every single day.
Nathan smiled--and let go.
Oh man... this was simply wonderful. I love how it turned out to be Fargo's fault (almost, when isn't it? *g*), but that Nathan's ghost was real. *sniff*
As much as I always thought that Nathan was an overbearing bastard, I do miss the connections between him & everyone else - even Carter, as much as he didn't want to admit it. :)
This was really great! I could actually visualize this as an episode (and Halloween has *got* to be a crazy time in Eureka!) {grin} Thank you very much for writing this!
