*facepalms*

Yes, because I have nothing else I'm working on [insert sarcasm here], I went and wrote the Firefly bunny that attacked me yesterday.

Huge warning: This has a massive honking monster spoiler for Serenity the movie. Do not read if you do not want to be spoiled!

Spoilers!

You know, ever since I read about Wash from your spoiler entry, I've been torned about going to go see it after all, you know? Not your fault, I'm the spoiler h0r here...

But now, with your fic, I think I might just take the time one weekend in October to see it.

Thanks muchly, it was quite lovely.

Oh, definitely go see it. I know I came off kind of wishy-washy about it, but I did enjoy the movie. It's quite a ride.

And thank you--I'm glad the fic worked for you. I'm thinking about posting it somewhere else. Do you think it passes muster?

Do you think it passes muster?

Definitely! +grins+

Oh, guess what? I don't know if you get the FX Channel or not but they are showing the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it just started the episodes with Nathan Fillion today. +grins+

I'm all teary. That was beautiful, and sad, and even a little funny:
After too many nights of sitting and counting the ways he despised everyone in the 'verse, but most especially the people on his ship, Mal gave up.

Oh Mal.

This kinda fixes it, a little bit. A little. :)

And the last line is a killer.

Yay! I was desperately hoping you would like it--shared trauma and all that. Writing this sort of fixed it for me, as well. They needed to be more broken.

I'm not sure what that says about me. :)

Oh, and I was thinking about posting a link on &love. Do you think it's appropriate?

I don't think I've seen any BDM fic besides this one. Of course, I haven't gone looking yet. :)

Anyway, thank you very much! I'm glad you liked.

Absolutely beautiful; very touching.

"...and he'd wonder why they kept going."

With the River-thing dealt with and Wash & Book gone, I wondered this too. Wonder what Joss has in store for us in future BDMs (ever the optimist). I considered another war against the Alliance, but that just seems too big a scope to tackle; it also is not small and personal enough to fit with my idea of Firefly & Serenity.

I guess its back to petty thievery. And that's ok with me. Joss is Boss.

Thank you!

And I agree--there really wasn't a lot of room at the end for new stories on the big screen. But we'll see, I guess.

Thanks again.

I meant to comment on this when I first read it...but didn't, because I kind of figured out what must have happened to Wash, and I thought I already knew the worst of it when I read about Book. I wanted to be spoiled, it's just that I had thought I already was and then had to go and be stunned for a bit. ;-)

Back to your fic, though, it's gorgeous. Kind of haunting, but hopeful, too. I'm becoming such a fan of yours--would it be okay if I friended you?

Eep! So you haven't seen the movie? I think it probably makes more sense if you've seen the movie, but I'm glad you liked.

*blushes*

Sure, go ahead!

I haven't seen the movie yet (I can wait for it, though, yep, won't go crazy or anything), though I've been reading all the spoilers I can get my hands on. Either way, the story was beautiful.
