maybe it was the huge glass of vodka+7up i drank during pr and antm, but was anyone else really confused during the opening scene of LOST until you know who appeared? i was like "this is lost right? who the heck is that? what is going on? this is a flashback right? seriously who is that? what is going on? oh it is definitely a flashback. oh wait.

OHMYGOD i was so confused. i was like who is this woman, in a house, with CDS? whose flashback is this? HOW DO THE OTHERS HAVE HOUSES?!!! AND big bowls of strawberries! WTF! i have it tivoed. i can't wait to investigate it and watch it again!

once i saw mr gale i was not confused, and it was totally clear and obvious, but really, i had no idea who that lady was and i was thinking it was a flashback! anyways, yea i cant wait for next week!

I thought it built an obvious and direct parallel to the openings of the other seasons - specifically the 2nd season - and we had see that lady before in the show...even though only briefly
