Why’d you have to be so cute?
She was too tall, neither was she all that pretty but somehow he was compelled to listen to everything she said. He usually found himself attracted to the “short pretty” kind, so what made her an exception? She was something new to him. She wasn’t like many of the girls he met in Japan, she was straight forward and real, and somehow that intrigued him so. From then on he was hooked.
It’s impossible to ignore you..
He came home everyday carrying in tow a mountain of assignments and books. Finally making it to his room he would leave the heavy pile on the hard wooden floor and collapse into the welcoming comfort of his bed. Five minutes of shut eye - then he started working. With heavy hands he would pry open his Macbook which welcomed him with his skype contact page. He takes in the sight of her contact picture and smiles to himself as he initiates the video call.
Must you make me laugh so much?
He loved the way she was always so easily amused. Her giggle fits were contagious and made him burst into laughter, many a times earning him stares from his family members as they passed by his room.
It’s bad enough we get along so well..
In the beginning, he was honestly a little cautious when IM-ing her. Was she one of those paedophiles creeping around looking for little boys to prey on?? He had come across one too many, but since her photos seemed pretty legit he gave her a chance and video called her. He was glad he did, the best decision he had made so far. But now he was getting scared. Why did she have to make him feel this way? And even if the feeling was mutual, how were thy going to work out?
Say goodnight and go~
He realised she was busy, she wasn’t picking up. But he had to say it so he decided to leave her a message.
“Call me when you get this, it’s urgent.” -Do I send it? Do I not send it? Do I send it? GAH!-
It was too late now, he had clicked send. She was going to read the message and call him whether he wanted to face her or not. The next ten minutes were absolute torture, his personal hell. He rolled around on his bed and bit on his pillows, silently screaming every chance he had, making sure no one heard him cos he was pretty sure they were about ready to check him into a mental facility.
*ring ring* it was her, video calling. He shot up from bed and raced to his mirror, making sure he looked decent.

“hey~ what’s up?”
“…………” -DUDE! SAY SOMETHING!-
“is something wrong?”
“…………” -SAY SOMETHING! ANYTHING!-
“Hello~ earth to Chinen~!”
“I love you.” -wow! I said it! I actually said it!-
-“BEL~! DINNER~!”- her mother’s voice echoed in the background.
“…… listen, I gotta go. But before I do… I love you too.”
