Totally agreed. Didn't Rogers say something like "he knows that he's damned for the things he did and he accepts it". Hell, he offered to kill that fake psychic for Parker, and I'm completely sure he would have done it if she had told him to. And that dialogue with Parker in the ice cave? Yeah.
And Nate? IS NOT A NICE MAN. How often has Rogers to say this? That's why I love to hate him.

I want to steal this and repost it almost word for word. It's like you were reading my mind....
(I never would, but that is how much I agree with you)

As far as I'm aware, Eliot was military turned mercenary turned 'retrieval specialist' - season three should be airing early next year so I'll get my Leverage fix and hopefully more Eliot backstory.

It's a type I'm attracted to, particularly that he won't stand around wringing his hands over causing injuries when one of his teammates is in danger, but will take decisive, even fatal, action to protect them. Eliot has done bad things, it's canon, so I'm confused as to how this is a shock to anyone. They've all done 'bad things' to some degree, it's how they know how to outwit bad guys themselves.

In short, everything you said - including the Wolverine reference :D

Seconded. Or at least... nthed :)

It does shock me how many people can't handle the concept of their favourite character as a once-bad-guy. It's a very often used trope. (I mean God, look at Xena...)

Also... bad-ass? Requires the BAD.
