Fred broke my heart pretty much every time she was on screen, and then they... did that. Damn Whedon. Damn every bone in his body.

Fred's death actually made me a little angry with Joss. Not because I was a huge shipper of either Fred/Wesley or Fred/Gunn (I did love that Wesley was devoted to her even during his falling out with AI, though, and that he was the only one with her as she passed), but it felt like he just wanted to see how evil he could be. It's like certain deaths in Torchwood - then again, RTD has apparently all but said he wants to be the Welsh Joss Whedon. :/ (Torchwood was very much based on Angel, with aliens instead of vampires and demons, and I can see that.) I really hate when they do that in shows or books, because yes, I get that if you're dealing with people who fight evil you're going to have to have deaths - but when it feels like "I need someone else to die, let's get popcorn" it's irritating. It doesn't help that Fred's death was very close to Cordelia's - both of them are possessed by ancient Goddesses.

Sorry, you should not have gotten me started. :P

I remember this...I was bawling hysterically. And cheered every time Wesley went a little psycho.
I totally have a crush on him too :3
