I'm considering a picspam to fill the square "soulbonding" on my schmoop_bingo card. I just can't come up with a story idea I actually want to write.

The mods define soulbonding as "basically a psychic bond between two people (usually lovers, though they don't have to be), so their souls are bonded together. It can include telepathy and empathy with the ( Read more... )

I've read quite a few mythical/magicals that leant in this direction. LotR's elves mostly. It's used a lot for twins too, but I've forgotten your fandom list, so I can only suggest Emma's slightly scary quints?

But yeah, as a concept it's one that usually makes me go... huh?

Ooh, those quints are creepy!

I love LotR, so that's definitely a possibility. It could possibly work for the Weasly twins in HP.

Merlin & Arthur? They're not psychically bonded, but it could kind of work. They have ~Destiny~. *shrugs*

What about Blair Sandburg & James Ellison - The Sentinel? I've always loved that fic universe about their Sentinel-guide bond.

I've read your "Leverage" stuff. You could choose any fandom, any pairing, and make it work. I'm not sure what other fandoms you like, but here are some suggestions:

Leverage: You could totally do an Eliot/Nate story, with Eliot being off on one of his personal jobs, and Nate sensing that he's in trouble and needing to use the rest of the team to try to find him.

Eureka: Sheriff Carter and his daughter, Zoe.

Buffy: Buffy and Willow (slash or not), or Willow and Zander (since they've been friends forever), or Willow and Oz.

Angel: Angel and Lindsey (this could be totally awesome, since they don't even like each other).

Magnificent 7: Chris and Vin.

Firefly: Wash and Zoe.

Band of Brothers: Winters and Nixon.

Covert Affairs: Annie and Auggie.

Glee: Puck and Kurt.

Hercules/Young Hercules: Hercules and Iolaus.
