Asphyxiation (this one squicks me--I have a thing about not being able to breath)

If you can't skip it, maybe you can make it frame your plot without having to be too descriptive. Like there's a serial killer on the loose and all the victims die from asphyxiation. It's mentioned and important to the story, but maybe your hero gets shot while taking the serial killer down instead of... you know.

This would work in Bones fandom, or Vegas!AU of SGA, maybe even Leverage (?) (I will watch Leverage one day soon - I NEED to!)

First of all, you NEED to watch Leverage! *pokes you*

A Vegas!Au is quite enticing... Maybe I could have Detective Sheppard have an asphyxiation squick like I do, but he's still stuck working the case. Thanks!

Character is shown the error of his or her ways

Maybe Nate/Eliot in which one of Nate's decisions gets Eliot hurt and he's forced to reconsider his methods? (I don't follow the pairing...so I have no clue if that storyline's been over done or not...)

Motion sickness

For some reason this one made me picture Parker dragging Eliot to a carnival and then Eliot getting queasy on the Tilt-a-Whirl. *shrug* My mind is weird.

Doesn't it!? I see Eliot trying to get out of it and Parker being all demanding (and then maybe poking at his stomach when she realizes he's queasy). I love the brother/sister vibe between them. It's adorable.
