My ability to compulsively check my flist has been marred by the troll on scificons who posted disgusting pictures that have nothing to do with sci-fi or icons. It would be nice to have a "hide" feature on LJ.
I had the same problem when I belonged to a community where people used disgusting icons. The thing is that they weren't even trolls - they just wanted to grace everyone's flists with pictures of characters having wild sex. I had to defriend the community, because otherwise there was no way I could check my flist anywhere someone might walk in and think it was my picture. I can't remember if the mods ever did anything about it.

Oh, that happened on a few comms I subscribe to once. Some things you can't unsee! The mods got on it really fast, but not fast enough to save me from needing the brain bleach. Ew indeed. I'm sorry that happened. Grr.
