I have other memes to post tomorrow, but I'll leave you all with this one for now:
Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.
Check my profile if you need some ideas.

1. Okay, let's the big thing out of the way first... I think Sylar is WAY overrated and has outlived his usefulness. He's far too powerful, the writers keep telling the same types of stories with him all the time, and he's almost a caricature of himself. And really, I don't see the overwhelming fascination some in the fandom have with Zachary Quinto.
2. I approve of Nathan's death. It's not that I disliked the character. Quite the opposite, in fact. But the fact that a Petrelli has fallen adds a certain urgency to the story, and I don't know where they would have gone with him after last volume.
3. I don't think Peter should ever get his old ability back. I like him having only one power rather than a whole slew of them. It wasn't clear to me at the end of this past volume whether or not he had all of Sylar's abilities, or just shapeshifting. If it turns out that he has all of Sylar's abilities, I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I don't care for "quick fix" characters.

With #2... I think a lot of people underestimate just how catalyzing a character death can be for telling stories about that character. For Nathan, we are now in a unique situation where we will probably get better stories about his backstory and about who he really is than we ever would have before. I can't help but think that a lot of the reaction to his death (and resurrection) isn't based on what happened, but fear of the writers screwing it up. Which I get, but also seems like a waste of time. I'd rather be upset when they screw it up, instead of sitting around being upset all the time on the idea that they might.
If it turns out that he has all of Sylar's abilities, I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I don't ( ... )

1. I don't miss Gideon. Not at all. Rossi is a marvelous addition to the show, and I vastly prefer him to Gideon.
2. I'm against on-screen romance between any of the major characters. Sure, give someone a love interest. But leave the integrity of the team alone.
3. I don't know if this opinion is unpopular or not, but I liked the Reid addiction story, and I feel shortchanged that they wrapped it up so neatly and abruptly. They could have had a great opportunity to play with the character, but they basically just brushed it under a very big and shaggy rug.
