I'm reading T.S. Eliot right now, and though I do enjoy it, I'm reminded that sometimes I think rhyming poetry is overdone and clumsy. Even a couple of Eliot's poems seemed awkward to me. On the other hand, I love Byron and Keats and many other poets through the ages who have used rhyme quite well. Overall, though, I'm suspicious of poetry that

That said, a good rhyme in a poem just feels so good. It's some kind of word pr0n or something to me - I don't get it, but it's sooo good.
