Proud geek giddy for movies

I'm feeling geeky, so here's a poll! Which of these movies do you intend to see? I plan to see all of them, but a few of them have me positively drooling in anticipation for their releases.

Apparently I've been under a rock, because I hadn't heard that Kenneth Branagh is to direct Thor. That makes me tentatively optimistic. Thor has never ( Read more... )

Terminator and Wolverine. But I'm only going to see the Wolverine movie because Hugh Jackman keeps taunting me with his bare chest....otherwise I wouldn't because I'm still pissed about the movie treatment my Cyclops got in the X-men trilogy of crap.

The Spirit, Watchmen, Sherlock Holmes, Terminator: Salvation, Iron Man 2, The Avengets, Thor, and Captain America.

Oh no...do I want to hear these casting rumors? They can't be as bad as the Batman sequel rumors, which have Eddie Murphy as The Riddler, Rachel Weisz as Catwoman, and Shia LaBeouf as Robin. I wanted to cry real tears when I read that.

Okay, those Batman rumors are scary. Surely, someone is just screwing with us. D:

Well, I've heard a lot of crackstastic rumors--Leo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Will Smith. D: But the Cap rumor that concerns me the most, primarily because I've heard it often enough that there could be something to it, is Matt Damon. Um, no. He doesn't look the part, and he's annoying as snot.

Oh, and fun fact: A few months ago, someone at a con started a rumor that John Barrowman was in talks. I seriously doubt this rumor, btw.

Someone better be frakking with us. There's no script, no director, no cast for the next Batman movie. I'm pretty sure that Christopher Nolan has said there would be no Robin in his Batman movies. If he wanted to bring back Riddler and Catwoman, that's fine, but there are better actors and actresses for those roles.

I heard the Will Smith rumor, but not Leo DiCaprio (ew) or Tom Cruise (ew ew ew) rumors. Matt Damon isn't a great choice either, but he's better than the others.

John Barrowman as Captain America? Hahahaha! That's almost as cracked as my choice for Cap: Jamie Bamber. He's blond, muscular, but he's really short. lol

Matt Damon would ruin the movie. Yuck.

I'm telling you...Captain America should be Jason Lewis. *drool* And if they go with an older actor, I suggest Ben Browder.

Iron Man \o/ I'll probably go see Iron Man, Star Trek and Wolverine within a week of opening, and less urgent is The Avengers and Captain America, which I will get around to seeing at some point when they come out.

If by "see" you mean "see eventually and not necessarily in theatres," then my answers to the poll are accurate. I'll probably only see Star Trek in theatres because my dad will need someone to go with, and will therefore pay for my ticket, ROFL. And I may or may not be dragged to The Watchmen, I don't know yet.
