Cracktastic ships?

Does anyone out there have a cracktastic or off-the-wall ship they truly like and follow? You know, a ship that either makes no canon sense, or a ship that other people would look at you and be like, "WTF with peanut butter?"

Well one this one time I wrote a fic about X-force going to Walmart, and Apocalypse was there buying blue lipstick for himself and Emma because he totally had a date with her. It kind of spawned from that. Their common ground of blue lips brings them together to dine at applebees. Apocalypse makes her ino the once awesome character she was, and not the Scott Summers love interest she's become! She also becomes his queen in all matters he dabbles in!

The ship name is En Sabah Emma. I think it's pretty OTP.

LOL! Somewhere out there is a Marvel writer who could make that work!

Some people consider Sawyer/Sayid to be off-the-wall. I think it makes perfect sense (such as, in the first season episode "House of the Rising Sun", just where were Sawyer and Sayid when they came running from the same direction to separate Jin and Michael, and how did Sayid know that Sawyer had the handcuffs in his pocket?).

But I think the general rule is, if the characters exist, they are shipped somewhere. And sometimes shows will just hand certain ships that used to be off-the-wall a huge tidbit, and they'll grow massively (such as Matt/Mohinder, which wouldn't have been a popular ship prior to season 2 Heroes, suddenly they're raising Molly together and their ship potential triples, or Desmon/Sayid on LOST when they spent a week locked in a freighter cabin together).

I don't really see Sawyer/Sayid as off-the-wall. I lean that way myself sometimes.

Hmmm... Interesting. I kind of like that. :D

I'm leaning toward Lorne and either Michael or Todd. Wraith Love ftw!

I can't necessarily think of any off the top of my head, but I know I've had many a frustration in trying to look for fic for pairings that simply don't exist, which leads me to believe that they might be a bit odd. Perhaps I just like rare pairings too much.

I have that problem a lot. I'll go to look for something, often thinking it'll be easy to find, and discover next to now fic out there.

I'm the type who wonders what it'd be like if characters from different shows interacted. So I have the weird crossover pairing of Ethan Jarlewski/Rayyan Hamoudi from the Canadian shows jPod and Little Mosque on the Prairie, respectively.

I've yet to meet anyone who watches both shows=no discussion.

*reads about jPod* Maybe I should look into acquiring that...

I love Rayyan, so I'll see what I can do about adding in Ethan, but I'm a dedicated Rayyan/Amaar shipper, so I can't promise anything ;)

jPod may still be available on a few communities. I'll send you the info if you'd like.

That'd be awesome. I like Rayyan/Amaar a lot too... I doubt Rayyan and *cough* anyone else could end as well.

I'm not familiar with those shows, but I checked out the links, and they seem pretty interesting.

I have one crossover ship, but I've been fortunate enough that it actually gets fic written for it. (Ianto/Major Lorne of Torchwood and SGA)
