After watching a lot of Torchwood-centric Comic Con coverage, I've come to a conclusion: The reason Gareth and Naoko seem shy is they can never get a word in edgewise. John never shuts up, lol.

Also, someone should really do a Major Lorne friending meme. :D

John is a doll, but yep, he's a talker...even more than me, and believe me, I can hold my own with the best of them, but it's okay, he's cute and I'll let him get away with it. *smile*

I'm not disagreeing with you AT ALL but the one time I met him, he was really quiet and let me do almost all the talking (and I'm usually the very quiet type). Granted that only lasted for about five minutes. I just love that he can shut up to be nice when he wants to.

How you didn't know John Barrowman was VERY LOUD, I don't know.
I would've thought you would hear him laughing from anywhere in the world. XD

I knew he was loud, but I didn't realize how overwhelming he could be to people not used to speaking up, lol.

I think it's definitely John's presence causing that because I've seen and read interviews with Naoko, and she can be pretty chatty and adorable and bubbly, but next to someone so adamant about being heard, she'll back off and let them go. And Gareth can step up and go if he needs to, but he seems to prefer to let someone else take the lead at these kind of things.

I think part of it is that both are less experienced.

Gareth is really incredibly funny but slightly nervous around fans. Naoko's a chatterbox but John overpowers her by quite a bit.

Was anyone moding? 'Cause they should be all 'shut up' and let the other cast members speak...specifically the one that isn't on the show anymore.

I don't know if there was a mod or not. There was one clip, though, where both John and Julie answered a question intended for Gareth and Naoko. By the time Gareth got to speak, he was like, "I was pretty much going to say what you just said."

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking John. I'm a talker myself.

Ugh let the people who played the characters talk. Let Gareth talk to the fans with his pretty hot accent.

I'm not either. Adore him to death. Really want to meet him.

I'd love to meet him. I'm usually not interested in meeting the actors, but he seems genuine enough that I think I'd like him.

I really loved how John and Gareth played with the fans in the clips, though. They seem to have a good working chemistry, and they seem to know how to push the fans' buttons.
