Fail: I'm just not getting enough sleep at night, and it's interfering with my ability to be social and productive. I may have to try some kind of sleep aid. Does anyone have any over-the counter stuff to suggest?

Sleep aids: If I need to get knocked out, I just take a benadryl, 'cause my allergies are crap enough that it helps there too. Half the OTC sleeping pills are just that plus some vitamins anyway. One of my insomniac friends swears by melatonin, but I've never tried it. (And insert standard not-a-doctor disclaimer here.)
