Okay, I'll just make a brief comment on Thursday's CSI, now that I've had time to let it sink in.

:(

I watched the ep last night. I knew something was up when the undersheriff insisted that day shift handle the case. Oh Warrick, I am so sad! And Nicky! Oh my good lord, how are they going to deal with that?! I have a horrible feeling that they (the writers) will pull another "CSI under suspicion" story arc, and I'm hoping they won't resort to that.

Do you think Officer Pritchard was yet another fall guy for the undersheriff, or that he was in on the whole thing? I know the undersheriff (can't remember his damn name!) threw the wiped-down gun onto the passenger seat of Warrick's car, but I hope the writers don't make him into another stupid criminal (who's attempting to make the death look like a suicide). There have been too many episodes to count where the suspension of belief factor has been just too much for me to take.

That's all I can say for now. I might have to rewatch the episode, or at least let it sink in a bit more.

PS...did you ever get your laundry done? ;)

CSI is notoriously bad at handling life-altering situations(ie Play with Fire, Grave Danger. Grissom's 'irreversable' deafness, anyone?) but I'm hoping they'll do better this time.

I was also worried they'd run the coma storyline. (thinking of Too Tough To Die, where Sara had to deal with the coma victim) Or, honestly, what they're going to do about the body (will they have gross close ups of head wound? Will David/Dr. Robbins have to do an autopsy?) Will they be dumb enough to have two separate crime scenes next episode to divert some time?

The funeral could be something. You know, if his grandmother was there, or his ex-wife. The CSI crew. Maybe even the murdering undersherriff...

For some reason I really wasn't feeling this episode until the breakfast scene kicked in. I just didn't feel like this episode flowed all that well as an episode or even as a part of a larger arc. How many episodes were between the last Gedda episode and this one? And then this episode came along and it kind of felt like they were rushing through it all and things were clicking way too easily, just so they could get to a point where they could plausibly write GD off the show. I'm really not sure this is the way they had intended this storyline to play out when they first came up with it... I'm sure I'll like it better upon a second viewing, though. I always do ( ... )
