So I'm bored the other night, and I'm surfing the web. I come across this post on a Torchwood message board:

.... OMG. I may need a pillow for this major headdesk. I don't understand why someone who's seen just three or four episodes would join a TW board to post that. Did she join because she liked the show or just wanted to complain?

For real. And then another poster showed up, and he was even worse. He said:

It's not natural, and I don't know how anyone can say it is. The penis was designed to fit into the vagina... and the anus was not made for sexual activity. The anus is for excreting waste... there is nothing sexual about it.

When I was lived in Milwaukee, there was this group that came to protest abortion and homosexuality sometimes, and one of the guys used a similar argument. He said his kid wasn't born with a penis in his rear, so he wasn't gay. WTF?

It's scary that people are this close-minded.

Those types of people drive me crazy. I'm so glad I haven't run into very many people like that online or in real life. There's no arguing with those types of people, you know? They're never going to see the light, especially online. No matter what people reply with, they're always going to think it's wrong :(

Ain't that the truth! What cracks me up is that they've watched three or four episodes AND took the time to look for and post on a Torchwood board. Yet, they're not clued in to the fact that Jack and Ianto are lovers.

I've been refraining from replying to them. A lot of other people on the board are doing so, and I'd probably get myself yelled at by a mod.

Yes, she has nothing against homosexuals, she just thinks it's wrong and unnatural. *headdesk* What's sad is I've seen posts like this on...*thinks* at least three different TW boards, so I couldn't even guess the one you found this at.

Oh well, their prejudicial loss. I'll just enjoy the "extreme (lol) homosexual characters" even more on their behalf :D

I try to stay away from boards and keep my fandom squee to LJ. I'm always aghast when I stumble across stuff like this.

For real! I never understand the ones who watch the show, see that it's got same-sex relationships, keep watching the show, and then bitch about it. They're probably just interested and can't admit it to themselves.
