Lost does not manage an ensemble cast that well. When I watched it last season, you would go entire episodes without seeing certain characters, and then suddenly there would be one episode devoted to them, and then they would disappear for another few episodes. At least this way, you usually see the character's every week.
And I actually loved this episode :\ From Doc and Grissom jamming in the autopsy room to the girl who talked too much when she got nervous, to the death of Sam Braun (who was an awesome character) I thought it was a pretty damn good episode. What didn't you like about it?
And Grissom had just found another clue... he doesn't know what it means yet, obviously, but it's definitely a clue. The mini crime scene builder killer thing is supposed to be an ongoing case that lasts most (if not all) of the season.
See, for me, LOST works perfectly. They may not show a character for a couple of weeks, but when they do show them, they really dig in and give us backstory and characterization. I'd actually rather they did that with CSI. I'd be more than okay with not seeing Nick or Greg for a couple of weeks if I knew that when they came back, we'd get a meaty storyline featuring them.
I dunno what it was about this episode. I didn't hate it or anything. It just didn't leave me with the sense of excitement that I used to get from the show. It wasn't that hard to work out who kidnapped Lindsay. It was a decent episode. Just not exciting for me. Maybe it's just my mood.
Ah, I thought I'd missed something in the preview. My DVR cut off a minute early. I'd love it if we had another recurring killer for Grissom to spar with. That's the kind of thing I miss.

No, it's a perfectly ordinary reaction. Where was his head?
