I had no idea McSweeten was going to be in this episode before I started it tonight. I was happy to see him! Although the end made me so sad. :'(

And okay, you know me. I'm a huge Eliot/Parker shipper. But the way people are freaking out about this is a little ridiculous. Someone made a gif of the kiss on tumblr and someone replied saying how we're and I quote "twisting that scene to suit our non-canon shipping fantasies." Like, for real? Mind = boggled.

I mean, I get that it wasn't actually Eliot and Parker, but I'm still over the moon about it. :D

I know, right? Their ship is canon. Let us have our fun and squee a little. Ugh. This is why I don't ship canon. Some canon shippers can be so possessive of their little ships. I haven't written much Eliot/Parker lately, but this has reinvigorated the love. <3 I want an icon of that scene and one of them in the doorway.

Exactly! They already have what they want, let us have some fun now too! That's one of the best parts of fandom for me; shipping all these ships that would most likely never happen for real - it's all in good fun and makes us happy, so who cares?

Ugh, yes. I'm so excited to read all the fic that is sure to be written because of this. :) And icons. I can never have enough E/P icons! :D

For me, the non-canon ships are more fun anyway. There are so many possibilities. :D

Some people go a little nuts in the shipping department. This excludes me about Nick/Cath though

I love Nate/Sophie though.

We'll go with your theory about Eliot.

I do like Nate/Sophie (though I LOVE Nate/Sophie/Eliot). Their shippers don't seem as... intense.

Added. :)

Exactly. I've seen a lot of their posts on tumblr and they just seem like the type you want to hang out with, lol.

Yay!

I honestly didn't even realise present day Eliot wasn't there O_o I was so sucked in to the storyline.

I find Parker/Hardison adorable, but don't actively ship them. So to see the kiss in this ep was awesome. Even if it wasn't Parker and Eliot, it was still nice to watch. And yes, lucky lucky Beth.

The comments at the end have me a bit more calm about Nate's big plans.

I don't mind Parker/Hardison now that they're not shoving them down their throats.

The kiss made me very happy. And the flirtation on the plane. CK can be so charming.

That actually brings it down to the point in one sentence. So true.

I love all the ships in this fandom, because they are basically all awesome characters and everyone is great with everyone. But I've been reading a lot of Eliot/Parker fic lately and this was perfect for that ^^ Besides it's a little fun watching the shipping drama from the outside :P

I loved the 70's setting! I didn't hate the Van Gogh job or anything, but this was put together so much better. The whole story was well crafted and it read more like a crime story than the soppy romantic story the van Gogh one was :)

Look, for once we don't agree 100% on an episode, that must be a first.

I think I can sign everything you've said about the episode, don't get me wrong. I was a bit miffed that they had Eliot play the bad guy again, but then Parker (well, past Parker) was in on it and he was doing the wrong thing for the right reasons...yeah, okay, I can live with it. But my main problem is, I like the story, I really do, but it's just not a Leverage episode to me.

And I totally support the criticism about Eliot in the present day. I was wondering the same thing. I get that he had a big role in the past, so he was gone in the present, but still. Where was he? I'm going with your explanation...and now I want to read that in a fic....
