See, I never go to any pages except my flist...I live in a perfect little bubble of awesomeness where Steve and Chris are MFEO and will live happily ever after until the end of the universe and possibly longer (and sometimes I imagine what it would be like if Chris was my BF :P that is when I'm not busy imagining someone else as my BF)

I hear about people bashing him all the time...and then I ask a friend (who obviously knows that kind of pages) what that's all about and "do I want to know?" and she (knowing me, lol) just says "no you don't" so I stay away. I don't know any of these pages, I definitely stay away from FB for exactly that reason. I live in my little bubble and like it there ;).

I think it's depressing...but since I'm always curious - did they bash him for a specific reason or just in general?

And yeah, only...less than 28 hours to the stageit gig!

Oh, you name it. The main thing right now is Sofia Pernas. A lot of people are calling him nasty and dirty because he's dating a woman who is younger than he is, and they're offended that he put her in the video. And in general, there's a lot of bashing from traditional country fans who don't think he's good enough for Nashville and CMT. Since he's apparently not with Bigger Pictures anymore, and he says he's done with Nashville, I guess they got their way.

By the way: How's the writing going?

Writing has been going very slowly. I'm working on something after dinner (since I have a pretty concrete due date and need to finish it). I need to motivate myself somehow...

And YAY! Stage-It! I'm excited!

I have to admit I was surprised when I saw how young she is, but for heaven's sake, that's their business. The other half is probably saying she's just using him to get attention...don't people have their own lives to worry about? And really, it's his video...oh, he isn't with Bigger Pictures anymore? I didn't know that. I guess I'm glad someone else keeps me informed :). I'm glad I'm not a traditional country fan, lol.

I know about the motivating yourself...I got all caught up in doing the vid for the LL challenge and really had to push myself to write again. And of course the boys never stick to my planned word count...I don't think I'll ever enter anything where there's a deadline, I don't think I'd ever manage to be ready in time.

I figured I'd missed an announcement or something, lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't know. I haven't seen an official statement or anything, but he's no longer listed as an artist on their site, and he said during a performance a while back that he's done with Nashville, and that they won't let him get anywhere in the business because he's an actor.

I'm a country fan. I really am. But Nashville is so much snootier than it was back in the day. :/

Ugh, kadams27 let me in on the whining about Sofia Pernas's age and I believe she was the one who told me he wasn't with bigger pictures too. I absolutely hate when women apparently can't trust women to make their own decisions any more than men can. Don't we have enough to deal with fighting against rich white politicians wanting to know what's going on between our sheets? I don't want other older women thinking that they can rule my life either.

Off my soap box, I don't now what CK can do to break into the scene? I have no idea why it didn't work when he was with Bigger Pictures, but I really thought he was going to make it. I hope he doesn't just give up

I was blissfully unaware of the bitching until today. It never even crossed my mind that anyone would care. The thing that gets me is that people are calling her a CHILD. She's NOT a child! She's a consenting adult who can decide for herself whether she wants to be with a man or not.

It makes no sense to me why he's no longer with them. Yeah, I really hope he doesn't give up, and that's my worry. I want more music, dammit. And he really does deserve to get some recognition on a larger level. He's better than 90% of the crap on the radio.
