1. My freaking body is falling apart. In addition to everything else, my shoulder is now hurting like someone is stabbing me every time I move it in a certain direction. Sometimes I can move it with no pain at all. But if I try to reach down at an angle or behind by back? OW. Has anyone experienced this? What did you do for it? I just took ( Read more... )

Re: shoulder - yes, actually I have that right now. Lifting arm higher than horizontal, fastening your bra... yup. Ouch. I've been to the doc today, and he said it's an inflammated tendon. That happens quite fast - due to the many bones in the shoulder, the tendons don't have much room. And if one gets irritated and swells up a little, it starts rubbing on the bones around it, and makes itself worse...
Try if either cooling or warming makes it feel better, it depends on how much it's inflammated already. And I've gotten Ibuprofen, since it also works against the imflaming. Try avoiding all the hurty moves as much as possible (yeah, I know...) and do not sleep on the side of the hurt shoulder. I have to get used now to another sleeping position, because I normally sleep on my left side with the arm not stretched out but hand under my face, if you know what I mean? And apparently that's the worst position for a damaged tendon to be in... Murr.
Hope it gets better soon!

Yeah, fastening the bra today with horrible. Not to mention driving. I'm trying to figure out a good way to sleep. I slept on my back last night, and my shoulder was stiff as a board when I woke up. I might try to sleep against some pillows and prop my arm up. Hope you feel better soon, too. You have no idea how much you need your shoulder until you can't use it.
