I know how hard it was for you to make the decision to retire Bianca. I don't think anyone can understand until they go through that. I've never had to let one of my dogs go because I have the wherewithall to keep them. But you did the best for your dog and that is what is important! Hugs.
I love dog and cat stories! Yesssss!!!! My mom had a greyhound she'd rescued from the track. That dog spent the next 5-6 yrs of life being the play-puppy she'd never ben allowed to be when she was a racing dog. She chewed everything, but we loved her to pieces!!!! I love it when a dog or cat will spoon with you to make us feel warm, safe and nurtured. It's been absolutely freezing cold here today, and my kitties are tag-team cuddling / spooning with me...It's win-win for everyone! I had bad cramps 2 weeks ago...Had my big black kitty sprawled across my belly better than any heating pad could have done...It's like she knew...Animals are better than therapy. I couldn't function without mine...P.
