Thank you so much for this! It's well-written, realistic, and tender. I really love how as DS Miller, Sherlock steals Lestrade's anecdotes. That adds a thick layer of insult icing to the injury cake. Their conflict is plausible and completely in character for both of them. They're together, but still trying to find the limits in their relationship, not fully there yet, but still in a place that works.

Also, angry kiss to affectionate kiss is lovely.

I realized when I started writing this that I had never written anything fluffy for these two before, exactly - my thoughts on them usually tend to be more x-rated - so it was a fun challenge to get them into a semi-schmoopy place while keeping them in character. Not a pairing I generally read, but this was just too delightfully sweet and funny. I am now a convert. You have such a deft hand with dialogue and your characterisation is spot-on. I loved both Lestrade's righteous anger and his weary resignation, but it's your Sherlock's "offhand abuse" mixed with "occasional tenderness" that has made me go all warm and fuzzy. Can't wait for the reveal to read more of your work.
