Thank you! I always enjoy these two, and it's interesting to watch them interact.

Good touch, that Jane refused to be late because of her limp, although she would not have cared about keeping Mycroft waiting had she been all right.

'Home for Christmas' has an interesting vibe in any association with a military context - naturally it didn't come off. That was well thought of on your part, anon.

Anthea makes a good point - the blog was *supposed* to be about Jane, but Jane deflected it away from her personal issues to something that exposes less vulnerability.

Weather talk, MI6 version?
Nice line. :)

I'm glad you liked! :D Let me just tell you that I have real fun writing it and so I'm really relieved it ended up being something you enjoyed :)

I was slightly obsessing with how I view Jane and how would she act, how would she be different from her fully healthy and happy self, because as we saw with John the difference is a big one. I wanted to show her being the proud soldier I believe she is. Also I have never before wrote anything focusing on Anthea, so it was really challenging (and fun!) and I'm happy both of those characters worked out in the end :)

This is an awesome pair of characters to throw together! I love how you explore what they have in common and the ways in which Anthea admires Jane - it all feels very realistic, very true to both of them. (And of course the badass setting is equally perfect.) Even if their friendship isn't normal, it's obviously meaningful, and that's really interesting and compelling. I'd love to see more of these two; I feel like they could figure in their own spin-off. :)

Oh, it'd be a very action-filles badass spin off for sure! Too bad I'm already writing something else for spinoffstory.

I'm glad you liked and considered both Anthea and Jane in character. I've never wrote anything focusing on Anthea or female!John, so I'm glad to hear I've managed to pull it off :D

This was lovely! I always enjoy seeing the main characters in the series from the perspective of a different character, and your Anthea's reflections on Jane were quite interesting -- I especially enjoyed the detail that Jane without a cane wouldn't mind being late, but Jane with a cane would be strictly punctual.

Thank you! I'm glad that detail work! :) I think there's a great difference in the way Watson acts, when s/he is fine and when s/he is not. So proud and independent, they suffer a great deal when their own body works against them.

I'd never thought of fem!John before, but this fic was lovely and I'm glad I took the time to read it. I'd love to see more of this universe from you actually. It's very convincing and I loved this idea to pieces.

Thank you! I'm glad my version of fem!John worked for you :)
I usually am absolutely horrible with follow up fics, but I rather liked this universe and I have new year resolution to write more, so I guess everything is possible :)
