Any thoughts on the recent GM meetings where banning fighting was being discussed? I'm all for making hockey more skills based, but I haven't been a fan for umm... more than two weeks.

(I'm reading Hockey For Dummies and watching Blackhawks games!)

I personally think fighting is important. It keeps tempers in the hands of the guys that are always fighting, and discourages people from taking cheap shots at the stars of the team. The enforcers have a code that they follow, which is less true in the minors, where most of the very serious injuries occur.

Isn't it so addicting?! Ugh, the skill these guys have! (I'm watching Sharks/Stars right now. MESMERIZED.)
