And she does it in a way- this is her secret, this is what makes her so wonderful- she does it in a way that makes him feel curiously looked after. It is a relief, at times, to turn his back to politics and the subtle interplay of countries and economics and history and people and just stop pulling the strings. It's a relief to have a life in which he is organised by someone else.
“I miss you terribly,” he says, very genuinely and very quietly.
“I know,” she tells him again, the domineering tone to her voice missing for a moment, tenderness there instead. “I miss you too.”
“If you were here...?” he begins slowly. It trails off as a question, or a plea. She's smiling again; he can hear it in her voice. If he thinks about it logically, extrapolating from the facts, there is a very high chance that she actually isn't wearing any clothes.
Of course, Mycroft knows better than to trust his logic at times like these, he really does, but it's a beautiful image.

This was... hot, delicious, amazing and completely distracting me from studying. I admit while tracking this prompt I wasn't sure I would enjoy the final result. (Mostly 'cause apparently everyone went for submissive Mycroft visions and I like my creepy powerful guys creepy and powerful, if you know what I mean.) But I absolutely loved it.
