This is a fic prompting meme based around the BBC series Sherlock, written by Stephen Moffat & Mark Gattis.

John, in the books, starts out incredibly thin - wasted away by fever and the fact that he spent all his money on gambling instead of his own welfare.
He looks quite skinny in the opening scenes of 'Study in Pink' IMO.

Can we have a fic where Sherlock notices this and this is the reason he's always taking John to restaurants and making him get the groceries: he puts food in front of John because if he doesn't, John will simply forget to eat.

Some crafty, caring Sherlock please! Anyone?

My deepest apologies. This turned out very wrong indeed. I am so never claiming credit for this.

John sometimes wonders if he isn't being fattened up for the slaughter.

"Go on, it's only pie." Sherlock pushes another plate towards him with that twitch of lips like something small and beetle-like is crawling around beneath them.

John sighs and pulls the plate closer, just to see Sherlock's eyes light up.

The lingering touches in the hall and as they stand at a crime scene aren't sexual so much as gauging. A squeeze of the arm to test for softness, a possessive drift across John's rounding belly, another crawling smile.

"Honestly, Sherlock," he says when the plate is bare, "much more of this and I won't be able to run!"

Sherlock smiles again.

John doesn't want to run. Not from Sherlock. Some days he thinks he wouldn't even mind being eaten.

On the contrary anon! Just read the fic and it was delightfully disturbing!
It may not be what I originally asked for but I certainly enjoyed it and it was perfectly written. Please don't ask the mods to delete it? :(

writer here: I went back and re-read your prompt after posting the comment and realised how horrifying it might be to recieve that as a response to a request for a lovely caring fic. I felt quite ill that I might have upset you.

However if you're okay with it, then I am too. :)
