I want to stress this isn't exactly what you're asking for upfront since we've had a lot of troll fills with deliberately wrong details. I wouldn't fill you with a Lestrade/Mycroft, but you said RTYIs are welcome and I was rereading this and it struck me that aside from the pairing being wrong it fits your prompt pretty well. And well, if it was me who prompted this, I might have said John/Sherlock because that was how I was imagining it, and thus how I wanted my prompt written, but also appreciate the no S&M D/s elements in a different pairing if I couldn't have the ideal.

Anyway 'I'm not a troll, please be aware this isn't perfect' disclaimer over. There's some breathplay which you might consider to be a little S&M/painplay, but to me it wasn't really about that, and well, unless such a thing squicks or triggers you, I'd recommend you read and see. The story is a brilliantly written exploration of D/s that never really struck me as a couple who were into painplay or S&M.
