John + anyone, an (un)cuddle fic

Ok, so I want platonic touching for kind of touch-starved John, but not...schmoopy? I don't really want fluffy fluff. Or sugary sweetness. (don't get me wrong, some days I love a good cuddle fic, but this is not that day, k?).

So what I'm looking for is that John who's...confidant with women, but when not dating doesn't touch as much on a daily basis. Who maybe has not yet reached that flatmate comfort we see in series 2 where he and Sherlock are constantly in each other's space. So show me John a little missing touch but not to the point where he'd ask for it (you know, like you'd miss your favorite type of tea while living abroad, or a ring when you're not wearing it), sometimes getting little passing touches but not hugs? Or maybe the progression into that series 2 comfort? I don't know...kind of sad but satisfying, please. *vague hand waving*
