Caged Sherlock

Like in the books, Mycroft knows about Sherlock's plan. He helps him carry it out and then helps him lay low. Sherlock is essentially under house arrest (although he of course sneaks out and sometimes Mycroft comes home and Sherlock is gone and Mycroft worries himself sick because he can't even keep normal tabs on him) and it's up to Mycroft to keep him sane.
There's also an effect on Mycroft of course. His house is no longer the calm, serene fortress it used to be. Then there's the guilt and John and maybe some days he gets so involved in acting like Sherlock's dead that he half forgets that Sherlock is alive.
Basically I just want some Mycroft/Sherlock with liberal doses of angst.

"BORED!" Shouted Sherlock. He was currently curled up into himself, arms wrapped around his knees which were pulled up to his chest; rocking back and forth slightly on a high backed chair with a manic look in his eyes

[I'm sorry I haven't read all of the original books and so I am not sure if Sherlock and Mycroft's childhood is mentioned in them? If their childhood is mentioned then I am sure it is very different to my portrayal here, I just thought it might be fun to write about the possible reason why the two of them don't get along. :) There is much more to come here, including a visit to the Holmes Manor by John, who is both angry at Mycroft for seemingly not caring about Sherlocks death and also looking for support as he struggles with Sherlock being gone, Sherlock must hide in the house while John is there and so hears the whole conversation. Also there will be fire-side brotherly conversations between Mycroft and Sherlock involving them talking about their childhood and what happened to their parents. There is likely to be visits from all the characters throughout but these are my plans at the moment.]
