Sherlock squirmed, eyes flashing in panic, but it was no use. The cable ties were tighter than any handcuff he'd been trapped in before, his shoulder blades squeezed together, a deep ache running down from the top of his spine. He gritted his teeth together, settling back on his heels, trying to ignore the painful ache coming from his inner thighs, searching for that peculiar place in his hand that would enable him to click out of this, just for one second

Sherlock whimpers. He's never whimpered before, not that he can remember. He always thought of himself as a stoic sort, able to cope with whatever his enemies threw at him. But he's never lost track of time before, never been closeted away in the dark for so long. He leans his head against the wall of the cupboard, licking at the moisture that dribbles down the side at sporadic intervals, trying to make himself comfortable in the confined space. He's beginning to think he may never leave
