Sherlock and John are puppies, a poodle and a golden retriever respectively. Their owners are a detective and a doctor.

Mrs. Hudson is a Rough Collie and thinks of John and Sherlock as her puppies.

Mycroft sometimes visits with his owner (either he's a dog or a Downing Street mouser cat).

Molly is a cadavar dog.

Lestrade is a police dog and his owner is a policeman.

Etc.

The police man trotted down the streets, hands in pockets and slightly graying hair flashing under the street lights. A car whizzed past, lights illuminating the form nearby him, and a soft whine caught his attention ( ... )

OP here.

Oh what a fantastic start! Sherlock is adorable (fighting a much bigger dog is so like him). Mrs. Hudson licking him clean is adorable too.

Hey Op, I'm glad you likie. For some reason whenever I write I keep coming back to Lestrade, but I promise that I'll try harder for this story.

The detective was glowering at him. Lestrade’s alpha snickered as he pointed to where two pups rambunctiously ran around a small water fountain. “Your poodle is over there. I think Sherlock made a friend ( ... )

OH THIS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

It's just so adorable. Sherlock and John becoming friends! (Oh Sherlock, John is going to be a great addition to the "pack".)

I loved the line about Sherlock's master needing a Healer often. (Funny noise of happiness). I also loved the Mycroft/Lestrade cuddling. Who says cats and dogs can't get along. :3

The detective and the doctor. I'm snickering because it reminds me a bit of 101 Dalmations.

AND CLIFFHANGER! D: Why would you do this to me?

John howled again pitifully ass he struggled to get up and over the edge of the water fountain. He barked again, Sherlock! Sherlock are you alright?! Bark to me Sherlock!

Stupid, stupid, stupid dog was what he was. He shouldn’t of let Sherlock go close to that tomcat Jim. Sherlock had distracted his attention and jumped onto the lip of the fountain to fight Jim and now…

John howled again mournfully, once again attempting to make the jump. His alpha rushed by him, picking him up, and futilely he struggled. Sherlock! Sherlock! Are you okay- Sherlock!

There was no answer from the cascading water.

John howled mournfully again. He could see Lestrade’s head come up, see the larger German Shepherd trot towards them, tugging his alpha along as what was probably Sherlock’s Alpha climbed over the edge of the fountain, hands dipping into the water and searching.

Lestrade came straight up to him. What’s wrong John?

Sherlock fell into the water! I gotta go rescue him! He lunged for the water, only to be pulled up short by the Alpha’s hands ( ... )

I still love this and the parallels to the show/books.(Oh the detective and the doctor were so lovely. :D )

If you still want to continue I will happily read it. This is too cute for words. I don't mind pairings(really I don't!)

Lestrade’s alpha brought him around to 221B Baker Street, murmuring softly to the dog, “Better say goodbye to Mycroft Lestrade, I doubt you’re going to see him again.

The German Shepherd whined softly, his slowly graying fur coat brushed to perfection. The police man sighed heavily as they approached the door- he hadn’t been back here exactly since the detective had asked about retirement. Certainly they had met at the park, but he didn’t quite include that in his wish to avoid the crazed detective; the detective had hunted him down.

“We’re getting old Lestrade.”

The dog nudged against his hand, a soft whine filling the air.

They came to a halt at the bottom of the flat, Lestrade pausing beside his owner. There was a long, black car waiting at the bottom of the steps. He looked at it, before taking a startled step back as the door popped open.

A posh looking man unfolded from the back, his tall, lean frame distinctly imposing even in the street. In one hand he carried a brolly- it was a perfectly clear day. Oh dear, this must ( ... )

I don’t think we’ll be that close. I am to soon stop being at the den. The den wasn’t as much fun as it used to be; most of his original pack members had left or died. They’ll send me somewhere else. A few of the older dogs talked of a huge field of green to endlessly run in; Lestrade didn’t believe it ( ... )
