Thank god for anon. This prompt is inspired by Queer as Folk...

Sherlock is HIV positive. When he and John become a couple, he dreads telling John this out of fear that John won't want anything to do with him anymore, will move out, move away, etc.

Despite the initial shock and discomfort, John accepts it. However people close to him are not as accepting at first, and one of Sherlock's biggest fears is that the yarders will somehow find out.

(I'm not looking for anything glamorized or even fluffy. I don't think I've ever seen this subject written about in fanfiction before and I realize it's very delicate, but I dunno. I like realistic fiction?)

This is an excellent prompt and I hope it finds a filler who can do it justice. I too really appreciate realistic fiction, even when it deals with the harsh realities of a very potentially deadly and horribly stigmatized virus. I know that I, for one, would be very upset with the deplorable way Sherlock manages his health (no food, no sleep, running himself ragged) in light of his medical condition.
