Fill attempt 1/3mahmficDecember 18 2011, 03:58:10 UTC
Oh good lord I've never shown anyone a piece of fiction that I've written in my life before (well, maybe in School but I must have blocked it out of my memories) and I am definitely going to regret this - even on anon I'm so embarrassed right now! - but oh well, here goes

Sherlock turned to directly face the doctor, and this time let himself see the reasons behind the tension in his stance, and the frustration in his eyes

Thank you for filling my prompt, anon! Sorry it's taken me a while to get around to reading it. favorite line: "Look, John, Christmas is the only time of year when the majority of the population stop being completely boring with their trivial concerns and worries, and actually produce a measurabl-

ah crap I meant 'flatmate' in that first paragraph... they are flatmates! I always do that, if I said roommate anywhere else please mentally exchange it for flatmate lol :(
So, that's it (sorry if it is completely terrible, gah) - I haven't written anything in years but the prompt was so sweet and I was really looking for something Sherlock related to do today.... Hope there aren't too many errors and that its kind of at least a little what you were thinking of :)
(Things that annoy John about Christmas) One: The Christmas Treejenny_starseedDecember 18 2011, 08:56:13 UTC
“Sherlock, you know this isn’t helping my shoulder,” gasped John as he carried up a giant Christmas tree with Sherlock up the seventeen steps. Sherlock could only quietly grunt in response. It took much huffing and puffing, a few expletives before they finally had the tree in the flat. They gently lowered the tree by the door

John hated Christmas music. The Christian ones like Silent Night or Little Drummer Boy were alright with him. They were cheerful, but they lacked the irritating cheeriness of Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bell Rock and I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. He heard it in the shops, at the clinic, on the radio and it irritated him to no end. By New Years, he would have heard ten versions of Santa Claus is Coming to Town fifteen times each and Jingle Bell Rock seemed to have a Pavlovian affect on him...mainly to smash things

Sherlock has to get John in the Christmas spirit. Ergo, Sherlock loves the holidays while John is a total Scrooge.
Would prefer Sherlock/John but go with what your muses tell you. :-)
