MINI FILL: "404 error: file not found" (1/2)nejemNovember 7 2011, 14:47:00 UTC
Warnings: illness and memory loss, mentioned and implied character deaths, general heartache. OP, I hope this is somewhat what you were looking for but don't hesitate to tell me if I did something wrong! :) I do hope somebody else will try to fill this much better than I tried here with my quick attempt.
Sherlock wakes up and finds a yellow post-it note on the bedside table.
Black, two sugars. Tea with no sugar and a barely detectable hint of milk for John, it says.
He gets up, puts on his old blue dressing gown, leaving it open and free to swish around him as he walks downstairs into the kitchen. He makes coffee following the instructions on the small piece of paper, black with two sugars, and takes a careful sip. He likes it.

I know the feeling: my grandfather last year was the same, so heartbreaking to witness, utterly heartbreaking... Writing this was cathartic in a way, I hope it didn't upset you too much *hug*
Thank you for your kind words, too much, really ♥ :)

My grandmother died earlier this year. I remember then I thought about how I'd spoken to her a few days earlier on the phone and she was the same as always. Her younger sister died of early onset Alzheimer's before I was born and she told me how terrible that had been. I cannot imagine what that must do to someone.
