Re: Received 6/6 |+1 alt cop out ending (not authoranon)| anonymous August 16 2011, 02:16:02 UTC

and then he woke up. He wondered, not for the first time, why dreaming had to factor into sleep at all. It took so much energy. To cheer himself up, he stole John's phone and deleted all the boring texts, called (rather than texted) his brother in the middle of an important meeting, emailed the solutions to three cold cases to Lestrade (without specifying which ones), and made tea for Mrs Hudson for once.

(And now I will be able to sleep tonight.

Great story. Really chilling. Oh, our poor boys...)

Awwww! I love that he deleted the "boring" texts, called during the important meeting, and didn't bother to identify to which of the cases the solutions belonged. Now that's the Sherlock I know! ;) Awesome. Thanks so much for this fantastic addition. You're awesome.

And thanks also for reading and commenting. I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you liked the story.

I'm so glad you liked it! What can I say, I'm a sucker for whump, but I need my happy ending. I thought later that maybe I was being a bit meddlesome, and should probably have kept it to myself, but the thing about posting anon is you can't take things back.

Oh, no, not meddlesome at all - I'm both honoured that you were moved to write this, and grateful to you for posting it. In fact, I've already pointed a couple of readers in the direction of your epilogue, so they could get their happy ending, too. :) So see? You performed a public service! :D

And for this, I thank you heartily, Morgan!!

Love the cop-out, kiwi_jam, it's a perfect anodyne to the story. Thanks for posting it!
