Sally and Anderson are the annoying co-anchors (presenters). Sherlock is the hard-hitting investigative reporter. Mike is the jolly meteorologist. Molly is the traffic reporter (or overly-sappy human interest reporter). Harry is the fast-talking sports reporter. Mrs. Hudson is the gossipy makeup woman/hair stylist. Lestrade is the long-suffering director. Mycroft is the meddling station owner. Jim is the lunatic who threatens to blow up the station if his manifesto isn't read live on the air. John is the unassuming camera man who kicks his ass.
And if you wanna throw in some Sherlock/John, Mycroft/Lestrade... well you just go right on ahead.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all I'm so, so sorry for the delay in commenting! Between LJ being completely screwy and interference from stupid RL I'm still playing catch up on fills and comments.
This was great! SO great! I loved Sherlock being all nervous about seeing John in the hospital.
“Do...you think they even understood that was supposed to be joke?”
“I’m...not sure.”
HA! Loved that bit!
And the ending! Yay! Ah, Sherlock and John, you guys are made for each other in any universe!
And don't feel bad about it not really being about the news because this was wonderful and just the type of thing I was hoping for. It was so great to read about all of the characters in these roles.

-squeals- That was great, anon, I loved it
Grah, curse my broken number keys, can't put explanation points.
But this was great great great~
I feel like Jim was a wee bit too easy to capture near the end, but everything else was brilliant. I especially loved how you portrayed everyone else, like the usual standby characters like Sally and Anderson and I like how you made Harry.
